S-A.net was conceived in September of 2003, when I realized that I sort of needed a domain. I hate relying on other people to host me (not because I dislike the limits or anything; I just hate freeloading off other people. I don't mind so much when it's the other way around. I once wanted to be Santa when I grew up. Honest.)
The network didn't grow, but I wasn't too miffed or surprised. I was uncomfortable with offline acquaintances knowing about my websites, so I shut down S-A.net for around nine months. When the time for domain renewal came up, I thought about it for five minutes before deciding that I needed to keep it.
"shining abyss" sounds really emo and dumb. It was a random creation of mine when I was randomly lounging on my room doing nothing; I found out later that it's the name of a Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card (what the fuck?).
I've renewed it again, until 2006 rolls around. I plan on keeping this domain as long as I can possibly handle. It's my baby; of the four domains I have owned (I gave one up), it's still my favorite. Even though it's, you know, plain. Maybe I'll do something nice with it someday.
